It's time to order your commemorative photo of the 2018-19 Stevenson Titans Marching Band! You have the choice of ordering your photo(s) either plain ($12) or laminated ($15). Deadline to order is Friday, November 16th for anticipated delivery at the Marching Band Banquet in December.

 

New procedure to order this year: All orders MUST be completed online at the link below using a credit/debit card or e-check. No cash, no paper checks, no money orders (no paper forms) will be accepted!

10/12 - Senior Night timeline

The 2018 Marching Band will take the home field for the final time on Friday, October 12th to honor the Class of 2019 and the band's success at Marching Band Festival.

Solo and Ensemble Registration open thru 10/26

District XVI High School Solo and Ensemble Festival is scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Rochester High School. Percussion events with larger instruments: there is an option to attend on Friday evening, February 1st. See Mr. Sekich for details!

Registration is now open - forms and payments are due to Mr. Sekich by the end of the school day on Friday, October 26th. You must be paid in full in order for your registration to be submitted to MSBOA!

Instructions and information on how to register for District Solo and Ensemble is now available on the Solo and Ensemble page on this web site and on paper in the band room.

 

 

10/10 - Marching Festival timeline/details


Parents and students - the "Super Bowl" (pun intended) of the Marching Band season is nearly here! Please plan on attending and supporting the Titans Marching Band and all the time they've spent preparing their show at Troy High School on Wednesday, October 10th.

Your presence matters. Wear Stevenson Band gear and let the kids hear you cheering for them!!

Details for MSBOA District XVI Marching Band Festival on Wednesday, October 10th - including the pre-event rehearsals - are available in the document linked here:

Highlights:

  • Tuesday rehearsal begins at 5:00pm; Wednesday show run is at 2:30pm
  • Performance call time is 5:30pm on Wed, in full uniform
  • There is a dinner break - you may/should leave school - after everything is loaded on Wed
  • Two-way bus transportation for this event
  • Everyone is invited to Troy High School (4777 Northfield Pkwy, off Long Lake between Crooks & Coolidge) to watch all 10 bands perform! First performance time is 6:30 PM. Stevenson takes the field at 8:30 PM.

 

 

10/7 - Band-a-Rama timeline/details


Parents and students! Details for Band-a-Rama on Sunday, October 7th - including the pre-event rehearsal - are available in the information package linked here:

Highlights:

  • Call time is noon, in full uniform
  • There will be a food break from roughly 3 - 4 PM. You must bring what you want to eat with you. Students cannot leave Stevenson during the food break.
  • One-way bus transportation only - everyone needs a ride after Band-a-Rama concludes
  • Everyone is invited to Swinehart Field (Shelby Rd. north of 21 Mile) to watch the four UCS Marching Bands perform their 2018 shows. Show starts at 6 PM on Sunday, October 7th with the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner by all four bands.
  • Lineup: Ford II, Utica, Stevenson, Eisenhower

 

 

10/7 - Band-a-Rama

Band-a-Rama is coming!  Stevenson Marching Band students will report to SHS at noon on Sunday, October 7th for a rehearsal before busing to Utica High School / Swinehart Field for the event.

The four UCS Marching Bands will combine to play the Star-Spangled Banner at 6 PM followed by performances from Stevenson, Eisenhower, Ford II, and Utica High Schools.

Admission price is $5 for high school age and above, free for junior high and younger. No advance tickets.

All proceeds benefit the Louis Gonda Memorial Music Scholarship Fund to benefit UCS music students.

10/1 - Elementary School Tour

The Stevenson Marching Band -- all members are invited to participate -- will be visiting some of our feeder elementary schools on Monday, October 1st to play their 2018 Show - Super Bowl Hits!

Marching Band members will meet in the SHS Band Room at 8:40 AM (Junior High / IB students at the same time). Stevenson students that arrive via bus, you can stay in the band room until we load the buses.  Here is the schedule:

  • Arrive at SHS no later than 8:40am
  • Load equipment: 8:45am
  • Load buses: 9:00am
  • Schuchard: 9:30am
  • Schwarzkoff: 10:15am
  • Dekeyser: 11am
  • Lunch: 11:45am
  • Oakbrook: 1:00pm
  • Arrival back at SHS: 1:45pm

You will be wearing your full uniform - minus hats and gloves.

Lunch will be at the band members' expense (McDonalds / Burger King / Subway on Van Dyke south of 18 Mile) - or brown bag it.

There is no transportation available to/from Davis/Hertiage/Jeannette/IRC - those students must find their own way to SHS in the morning and back home in the afternoon.

This activity is optional for Marching Band members - but does qualify for Tri-M hours!

 

 

9/29 - Troy Athens Invitational Info

The Titans' Marching Band will be performing at 1 PM at Troy Athens High School on Saturday, September 29th during the Troy Athens Scholastic Marching Invitational. The event begins at 12:45 PM with the National Anthem and runs into the evening. 

Please come root on your Titans and a great lineup of Marching Bands from around the area!

9/28 - Friday Night Lights Info

Junior High Students from Davis and Heritage will join the Stevenson Marching Band before and during the Titans home varsity football game on Friday, September 28th. 

Timeline!

  • 3:15 pm Call time for SHS students
  • 3:30pm Junior Highs arrive
  • 3:50pm Rehearsal in baseball field, (right field) Greeting by Mr. Sekich, then find your sections to learn the vocals to the cadence/stand cheers. Bonding time!
  • 4:25pm Full Concert formation playing Timber and Believer
  • 4:45pm Stevenson Performs some of their Super Bowl Halftime Hits Show
  • 5:10pm Dinner - Pizza and water provided by SHS Band Boosters
  • 5:50pm SHS Marchers get dressed (full uniforms)
  • 6:15pm Enter stadium, Junior High’s sit in assigned seat in bleachers as practiced earlier
  • 6:45pm Stevenson Band performs pregame Junior Highs watching in bleachers
  • 6:50pm Stevenson Band plays the National Anthem
  • 7:00pm GAME TIME! SHS enters the bleachers
  • 7:45pm Make our way out of bleachers to set up for halftime, *Big Arc Concert formation (as practiced)
  • 8:10pm After half-time, non-Stevenson Marching Band students may either stay, or leave with your directors
